KYANKWANZI, UGANDA – In a remarkable display of leadership and dedication, Kabale University has emerged as a shining example at the recently held Retreat/Leadership Training for NEC-UNSA, Secretariat Staff, and Guild Presidents at NALL-Kyankwanzi. HE.Diaz Drake Owoyesigire, the Guild President of Kabale University and UNSA National Affairs Secretary, proudly announced the university’s impressive representation at the event.
As the UNSA National Secretary, Owoyesigire led the delegation from Kabale University, accompanied by the esteemed Guild Speaker, Rt. Hon. Prianah Prize. Speaking in an exclusive interview, Owoyesigire expressed his enthusiasm and highlighted the university’s commitment to learning and imparting valuable skills to fellow leaders at Kabale University.
“This retreat is a tremendous opportunity for us to enhance our leadership abilities and bring back the knowledge gained to make Kabale University the premier institution in Uganda and worldwide,” Owoyesigire emphasized.
The retreat, organized by the Ministry of Education and Sports in Uganda, spanned seven days from June 14th to June 20th, with participants urged to report to NALL-Kyankwanzi no later than 3:00 pm on the 14th of June. The letter from Ketty Lamaro, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports, explicitly specified that only one leader per institution was invited, namely the Guild President or Guild Speaker. Those delegated were required to present a letter of delegation from their respective institutions. Additionally, participants were mandated to possess National Identity Cards and Institutional Identity Cards to facilitate identification and accreditation.
Rt. Hon. Atusingwize Prianah Prize, the Guild Speaker for Kabale University, expressed her gratitude for being selected as the representative of the university at the retreat. She expressed her eagerness to learn and utilize the skills acquired to further elevate Kabale University’s standing in Uganda and the global arena.
